This September, the Washington Society of Landscape Painters, founded in 1913 and one of the oldest and most esteemed artists’ organizations in the Greater Washington DC area, returns to Easton, where three fine art galleries will host the annual group exhibition, Sense of Place. Roughly 60 new paintings by 32 select member artists will be showcased across The Trippe Gallery, Troika Gallery and Studio B Gallery from September 4 through 30.
Executed in oil, acrylic and pastel, many works in the exhibition celebrate the beauty of the Eastern Shore, from its coastlines, harbors and marshlands to farms, architecture, treasures and beaches in diverse styles that range from the traditional to the contemporary.
Please join us Friday September 4th from 5-7pm for the opening reception!
Watch us paint Saturday September 5th from 10:30am-3pm—many Washington Society of Landscape Painters will be giving demos or simply painting in and around the three galleries in downtown Easton. Come see the magic happening while enjoying the show!
