After selling out its inaugural event and raising more than $35,000, Putts Fore! Nuts, presented this year by NADS Organic Underwear for Men, will return to Ocean City this fall with a unique mission: getting more young men ages 14 to 35 talking about testicular cancer.
The second annual charity mini-golf tournament will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Embers Island Mini Golf in Ocean City, Maryland. Created by testicular cancer survivor Andrew Dorbin of Preston, MD, and the Wayfinders Testicular Health Fund (WayfindersTHF), the event aims to make testicular health education more approachable and interactive while reaching young men—from high school and college students to young professionals and new fathers.
Last year’s inaugural event sold out, bringing together 165 participants, sponsors, volunteers, and vendors and raising more than $35,000 for WayfindersTHF’s mission. This year, up to 144 players will compete across two 18-hole courses, encountering mini-games, educational challenges, and plenty of surprises along the way. Players will compete for cash and prizes, including $1,000 for first place, $500 for second, and $250 for third. Crowd favorite The Hole Hecklers, a group of professional comedians who roast and distract players in good fun, will also return in 2026.
“Guys in their teens, 20s and early 30s aren’t necessarily looking to sign up for a Saturday afternoon health seminar about testicular cancer,” Dorbin said. “But they might come play mini-golf with their buddies, get heckled by professional comedians, and compete for a $1,000 cash prize. If we can get them laughing and having a great time while also teaching them something that could save their life, that’s a win-win.”
Testicular cancer disproportionately affects adolescents and younger adult men. Dorbin was diagnosed with late-stage testicular cancer in the spring of 2023 after the disease had spread to his lungs and abdomen. His experience with diagnosis, chemotherapy, and recovery ultimately inspired him to establish WayfindersTHF to promote awareness, education, community outreach, and support for young men and families affected by the disease.
Local businesses and community partners also played a major role in the success of last year’s event, helping offset costs while contributing prizes, services, and creative on-course experiences. Sponsorship opportunities are again available for local and regional businesses in 2026, ranging from entry-level raffle prize baskets and tee-box sponsorships to dedicated hole activations and larger event partnerships.
