Dr. Matthew Kibler Named as QACPS Assistant Superintendent

the Board of Education approved the appointment of Dr. Matthew Kibler as the new Assistant Superintendent

Queen Anne’s County Superintendent, Dr. Patricia Saelens, is excited to share that the Board of Education approved the appointment of Dr. Matthew Kibler as the new Assistant Superintendent for QACPS during the April 10, 2024 board meeting. She shared, “Dr. Kibler brings a broad depth of knowledge and experiences that will no doubt enhance his success in his new role.”

Dr. Kibler currently serves as the Director of Accountability & Implementation and will move into his new role in April. He came to Queen Anne’s County Public Schools after nine years at Washington College in Chestertown, MD, where he most recently served as the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness and Analytics. Dr. Kibler received his Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Wilmington University, has a Master’s of Applied Statistics degree from Penn State, and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Washington College. He has two sons that both attend Queen Anne’s County Public Schools. When not at work, Dr. Kibler can be found with his wife cheering on their sons at soccer and baseball games around the county.

Of this new appointment, Dr. Kibler says: “I am honored and excited to take on this new role. I look forward to continuing to work with our dedicated teachers and staff to educate our students and to help prepare them for career, college, and life success.”
