On Saturday, June 14, 2025, the Kennard Alumni Association will be hosting QAC’s annual “Juneteenth” Celebration with free “Father’s Day” haircuts and a buffet breakfast starting at 8 AM. The parade will start at 10 AM from QAC High School and continue with the Festival at Kennard until 4PM. The “Karen Sommerville Music” group will lead a slate of African American artists who will perform at the “Kennard African American Cultural Heritage Center and Museum” at 410 Little Kidwell Ave. in Centreville. This will be a free community festival where artist will display their crafts and exhibits and vendors will provide information and offer their wares for sale. Food Trucks and drinks will be available. We are asking the community to bring donations for our “African American History Resource Library”. This is a “Smoke Free” event.
