When the Zebra Gallery owner, Susan Schauer John, was talking to her husband about her new gallery in downtown Easton, he made a point of saying that her job sometimes required her to have art and artists that she didn’t necessarily need to ensure business. She had a quick response: no way.
That was clearly the case when the Spy visited the Zebra this week to see what was on display for April. Artist by artist, Susan offered ample evidence that she loved her artists and couldn’t contain her enthusiasm for their work.
In our check-in with Susan, she introduces some of those artists work, as well as some of her own work, and talks about why its important to fill the Zebra’s large spaces with the things she loves.
